Speaker: Robert Naeye

China and US Relations - December 2020

Robert Naeye is an award-winning freelance journalist based near Hershey. He has visited China and Hong Kong and is an avid reader of world history and current affairs. He has a long-standing interest in Hong Kong because his two adopted sisters were born there. He joined the Foreign Policy Association of Harrisburg shortly after moving back to Pennsylvania in 2016. A few months later he wrote an article about the FPA for The Burg.

In addition to Robert’s 30-year career in science journalism, he was also a former editor in chief of Sky & Telescope magazine and author of two books about astronomy. He is also the author of the cover story of the September 2020 issue of Astronomy magazine, about the search for life on other planets. Robert’s previous August 23 talk on US-China relations for the Hershey Public Library brought his extensive knowledge of China and its impact on the United States to the attention of the Foreign Policy Association.
