Speaker: Katherine A. Brown, Ph.D.
Overview:
Katherine A. Brown, Ph.D., is the President and CEO of Global Ties U.S., the national leader in connecting people in the U.S. and their communities with the world through public diplomacy programs. Before leading Global Ties U.S., she served in several roles in government, including as a Public Diplomacy Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Afghanistan, a Professional Staff Member at the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, and the Executive Director of the U.S. Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy at the U.S. Department of State. She was also on the Global Public Policy Team at Meta and the original editorial team at Bloomberg Opinion. Katherine is a member of the University of Southern California’s Center on Public Diplomacy Advisory Board and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Georgetown University’s Center for Security Studies, where she teaches a class on soft power and national security. Her book, Your Country, Our War: The Press and Diplomacy in Afghanistan, was published by Oxford University Press in 2019. She is a recipient of the Council on Foreign Relations International Affairs Fellowship and was a 2018-2019 French-American Foundation Young Leader. Katherine holds a B.A. in International Affairs from The George Washington University and a Ph.D. in Communications from Columbia University.

Non-Members: $43.00 – We Welcome Non-members to attend dinners.
There is no charge for anyone to attend the program presentation only, beginning at 7:30 PM.
Dinner reservations must be made NO LATER THAN 10 a.m. Monday, April 13. Because the Susquehanna Club has no back-up kitchen, if you come for dinner without a reservation or register late, we may not have a meal for you.
