Topic: The Militarization of Space

Speaker: Colonel Ben Ogden

Overview:

Colonel Ben Ogden is an Assistant Professor, course director, and lead instructor for the strategic space studies program at the U.S. Army War College. He is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor for the U.S. Space Force’s Senior Leader Education program at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). 

His areas of concentration include space policy, national security space strategy, and military space operations. His operational experience includes multiple overseas and combat deployments focusing on missile defense operations, and as the training and readiness director for the U.S. Army Space & Missile Defense Command at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, Colorado. 

Colonel Ogden has a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. He has also completed the Nonproliferation Policy Education Center’s (NPEC) Space Policy Fellowship as well as the Defense Technology Seminar at MIT’s Lincoln Laboratory.

There is no charge for anyone to attend the program presentation only, beginning at 7:30 PM.
