Speaker: Dr. Alan Stolberg
Overview:
On Tuesday, November 18th, FPACP Vice President Dr. Alan Stolberg will be reflecting on his recent trip to Ukraine, thus providing an inside perspective on the Russo-Ukrainian War.
Dr. Stolberg is with the RAND Corporation as the U.S. Coordinator for the Department of Defense (DoD)/NATO Defense Education Enhancement Program (DEEP) helping to coordinate and orchestrate U.S. government assistance and support to NATO partner nation professional military education (PME) institutions. At the United States Army War College, he served as Associate Professor of National Security Studies, Henry L. Stimson Chair of Military Studies, and Director of the National Security Policy Program (NSPP). His research has focused on policy & strategy making, interagency/whole of government decision making, security cooperation, and European and Eurasian studies. He has authored multiple publications, including his 2012 book, How Nation-States Craft their National Security Strategy Documents.
Dr. Stolberg was a career Army officer and served on active duty for over 30 years in numerous positions, including War College professor and designated Strategist. He also served in the Pentagon’s Joint Staff J2 and J5, and the U.S. European Command’s (USEUCOM) Plans and Policy Directorate, as well as several other high-level positions. Prior to retiring from the military, Dr. Stolberg served as the Director of European Studies at the Army War College from 2002-2005.

There is no charge for anyone to attend the program presentation only, beginning at 7:30 PM.
Dinner reservations must be made by 10 a.m. Friday, November 14. Because the Susquehanna Club has no back-up kitchen, if you come for dinner without a reservation or register late, we may not have a meal for you.
